Vipers Sports Club has confirmed the return of midfielder-cum-attacker Faruku Miya after a decade.
Miya left the Kitende-based side in 2016 for Belgium topflight entity Standard Liege.
After leaving Vipers, he has since featured at Mouscron (loan), Sebail (loan), Gorica, Konyaspor, Lviv, Caykur Rizespor and recently Ilioupoli.
Miya has played 6 times for the Uganda U-23 side, scoring thrice.
For the senior national team (Uganda Cranes), he has played 79 international games and scored 23 goals.
He returns to the team ahead of the 2026/27 season. Miya has been training with Vipers for a fortnight and impressed new coach Dennis Lavagne.
Days ago, Vipers also confirmed the return of former striker Ceaser Lobi Manzoki.
They also signed midfielder Joel Sserunjogi and Gabonese goalkeeper Loyce Mbaba.
The Venoms are set to play in the CECAFA Kagame Cup due in Rwanda and will represent Uganda at the CAF Champions League.
