Lukwata joins the Islanders as a free agent and will boost the team ahead of the remainder of the 2026 season.

The former UPDF, Onduparaka and Tooro United winger set off to Ssese islands from Nakiwogo landing site (Port Alice) Entebbe on Monday, 27th July 2026.

Lukwata boosts the Ssese team with invaluable experience, coming forth with creativity, urgency and precision in the final third as the group stages come to an end.

Lukwata commenced his career at Express Soccer Academy before he was poached by Bulo Parents and Masaka Secondary School.

He has since featured at Butambala Ssaza, UPDF (Simba), Onduparaka, Tooro United, African Lyon (Tanzania), Show Sports (Democratic Republic of Congo), Heagan (Somalia) and lately spells in India.

Ssese hosts Mawokota this Saturday, 1st August 2026 in a Buganda Masaza Cup contest.
