U-15 Girls Singles (Finals)

It has been a celebration at the Bortyman Sports Complex in Accra, Ghana, as Uganda’s Patience Anyango won gold at the 2026 ITTF Africa Table Tennis Championship.

Anyango overcame Tunisian Saidi Ela 3-2 to win the highly contested girls’ U-15 duel (6-11, 7-11, 11-6, 11-7, 7-11).

The Ugandan teenager led 2-0 after winning the opening two sets 11-6 and 11-7.

The Tunisian clawed back into the game, winning the subsequent two sets 11-6 and 11-7 to set up the tense and thrilling decider.

Anyango held her nerves to win the fifth set 11-7 and triumph in the match 3-2 to spark wild celebrations.

Meanwhile; Asser Sameh is the new African U15 Boys’ Singles champion. Sameh edged Nigeria’s Umar Ayoola 3-1 in a thrilling final.
