JT Lady Jaguars swept Magic Stomers to book a spot in the final of the National Basketball League playoffs final.

The Jaguars secured a well-deserved 61-55 victory against Stomers in Game 3 at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Friday evening.

Susan Eben got the game underway with a big 3-point jumpshot before Brenda Kayaga responded with a layup.

Kur Ajah capped off the first period with a jumpshot as the Magic Stormers opened a three-point (19-16) lead.

In the second stanza, the Stormers were more physical, not allowing the Lady Jaguars to find their rhythm, and took a one-point (33-32) lead into the long break.

Coming from the long break, the Lady Jaguars increased the game’s pace and decided to attack the hoop rather than settle for the long shot, thus opening a three-point (45-42) lead.

With five minutes on the clock, Angella Auma’s 3-point long shot gave the Stormers a four-point (51-47) lead. However, the Stormers’ late charge helped them secure a six-point victory on the day.

Maimuna Nabbosa (17 points) and Bridget Aber (11 points) led the Lady Jaguars’ scoring chart in double digits.

On the hand, Kur Ajah (12 points), Angella Auma (11 points) and Daphine Adong (10 points) led the Stormers’ scoring chart.
