KCCA FC have secured a spot in the finals of the FUFA Super 8.

The Kasasiro Boys waltzed to a well-deserved 1-0 victory against Kitara at Hamz Stadium, Lugogo on Monday, August 8, 2026.

Saidi Mayanja’s goal was the difference on the day, thus sending KCCA into the last game of the pre-season tournament.

Saidi Mayanja gave his side an early lead after the midfielder curled the ball into the top corner in the second minute of the game.

The midfielder was quick to win possession after Kitara’s backline easily gave away the ball due to miscommunication between Bonny Christopher and Benjamin Nyakojo.

In the eighth minute, Yunus Sibira made a goal-line clearance to deny Jerome Kirya from close range.

At the half-hour mark, Herbert Achayi laid in a great delivery to find Charles Lwanga, but his final effort went inches wide of the target.

In the second half, Kitara made several changes to introduce fresh legs in the midfield, but it hardly paid off as KCCA were still the dominant side.

In the 65th minute, Charles Lwanga found the back of the net, but the assistant referee raised the flag signalling the forward was offside.

Ten minutes later, KCCA came close to doubling their lead through Mayanja, who was set up by Ssebaduka, but the effort went slightly wide of the target.

At the end of the day, the Kasasiro Boys bagged the bragging rights as they marched to the final.
