Uganda Premier League side Lugazi Football Club has completed the signing of experienced central defender Livingston Mulondo from Vipers SC.
The development was confirmed on Monday, August 11, 2026, via the club’s official website.
“Lugazi Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of one of the most experienced players in the Uganda Premier League – Livingston Mulondo from Vipers SC,” the statement partly reads.
The defender, popularly known by fans as “C4,” has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with The Leaders and is set to link up with his new teammates immediately ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Mulondo arrives at Lugazi FC boasting a decorated profile in Ugandan football. During eight years with Vipers SC, he accumulated eight major honours, including five Uganda Premier League titles and three Uganda Cups.
He was also a key figure in the Vipers squad that featured in the group stages of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
A product of Jinja Secondary School, Mulondo first came to prominence with Kirinya–Jinja SS, helping them win the FUFA Big League title and secure promotion to the top flight in 2016. After two seasons in the UPL with Jinja SS, he earned a high-profile transfer to Vipers SC in June 2018.
Lugazi FC will look to leverage Mulondo’s experience and defensive composure as they aim to solidify their backline for the new UPL season.
He reunites with Coach Abbey Kikomeko, with whom they worked at Kirinya Jinja SS. Mulondo first broke onto the top-flight scene under Coach Kikomeko at Kirinya Jinja SS (later Busoga United).
Under Kikomeko’s guidance, Mulondo developed into one of the most disciplined and dominant central defenders in the league, earning the nickname “C4” for his physicality and aerial dominance.
