The 23rd edition for the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games officially commences on Friday, 14th August 2026 in Morogoro city, Tanzania.
The host country (Tanzania) will be joined by teams from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi in over 20 sports disciplines.
Rugby (7’s and 15’s format) is part of the rich menu of games in these perennial games where over 4000 students gather together in typical sporting spirit.
Uganda will be ably represented by as many as 7 teams in both 7’s and 15’s Rugby.
Jinja Secondary School is the only team from Uganda for the girls’ 7’s cluster.
The 7’s for the boys has Makerere College School, Mbarara High School (Chappa) and Busoga College Mwiri.
The other teams in 7’s include Butula Boys (Kenya), Elerai (Tanzania), Cardinal Otunga Mosocho (Kenya) and Bokoli Boys (Kenya).



For 15’s boys; Uganda has St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK), Namilyango College and Jinja Secondary School.
The other 15’s teams include Elerai (Tanzania), Upper Hill School (Kenya), Kisii School (Kenya) and St Mary’s School Yala (Kenya).
There are three 15’s Rugby teams for the female gender to include; Murongoine Secondary School (Tanzania), Kinale Girls (Kenya) and St Joseph’s Girls Kitale (Kenya).
Other games:
Besides Rugby, there is a catalogue of other sports disciplines as football, Netball, Volleyball, Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Cricket, Baseball & Softball, Tennis, Scrabble, Chess and others.
Secondary, primary schools as well as institutions for special needs children are all in action.
Team Uganda delegation has been arriving in Morogoro in batches with the last group expected by Thursday, 13th August 2026.
