FEASSA Games 2026 (Boys’ Football)

Match day one – Friday, 14th August

  • 9 am: IPTEM Makamba (Burundi) Vs Nsumba (Tanzania) – SUA
  • 9 am: Amus College School (Uganda) Vs Mbeya Day (Tanzania) – Ujenzi
  • 11 AM: St Mary’s Yala (Kenya) Vs St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda) – Highland
  • 1 pm: Kakamega School (Kenya) Vs Kyadondo SS – Moro Secondary
  • 3 pm: Urambo Day (Tanzania) Vs Bukedea Comprehensive School – Jamhuri Stadium)

As the 23rd edition of the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games commences on Friday, 14th August 2026 in Morogoro City, Tanzania, there is excitement.

Boys’ football action is on the menu among the games to be played, with all four teams from Uganda playing.

At 9 am, IPTEM Makamba (Burundi) will take on Nsumba (Tanzania) at the SUA.

St Mary’s Kitende football team

At the same time, Uganda’s Amus College School plays Mbeya Day (Tanzania) at the  Ujenzi Stadium.

St Mary’s Yala (Kenya) tussles St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda) at the Highland playground in an 11 am duel.

 Kakamega School (Kenya) will take on Kyadondo SS at Moro Secondary School playground at 1 PM.

The final game of the day shall come at 3 pm as Urambo Day (Tanzania) plays the FEASSA reigning boys’ football champions, Bukedea Comprehensive School, at the Jamhuri Stadium.

The host country (Tanzania) will be joined by teams from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi in over 20 sports disciplines.

Rugby (7s and 15s) is part of the rich menu of games in these perennial games where over 4000 students gather together in typical sporting spirit.

Other games:

Besides football, there is a catalogue of other sports disciplines such as Rugby (7’s and 15’s), Netball, Volleyball, Hockey, Athletics, Swimming, Cricket, Baseball & Softball, Tennis, Scrabble, Chess and others.

Secondary and Primary Schools as well as institutions for special needs children are all in action.

Team Uganda is the reigning champion from the games last played in Kakamega, Kenya.
