Arua City-based Oasis Primary School won two games on Monday, 17th August 2026 during the ongoing FEASSA Games in Morogoro, Tanzania in the Primary Schools’ docket.

During the first game in the morning played at Morogoro Secondary School playground, Oasis overcame Kenyan opposition 3-0.

This was followed with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tanzania’s Kibamba primary school. Jamil Sudais and Rafael Munguci scored for Oasis whilst Jeremia Zakaria got the consolation for Kibamba who are based in Dar-es-salaam city.

This has been the third victory for Oasis Primary School (boys’ team) at this championship.

“We gave our all in the two matches on Monday. We want to maintain this form,” team captain Munguci remarked.

The girls’ side has however failed to the anticipated billing, suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to Kenya, their second slip of the tournament.

Primary schools’ action also has volleyball, netball, handball and athletics.

The FEASSA Games involve secondary and primary schools as well as Special Needs Children.

The countries of Tanzania (2026 hosts), Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi take part in this perennial schools championship that is now celebrating 23 years since inception.
