Rines Secondary School overcame Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) 2-0 in Group A of the FEASSA Games played at the Muslim University of Morogoro on Tuesday, 18th August 2026.

A goal in either half from Sarah Nakimuli and Patricia Nakato Nanyanzi (penalty) inspired Rines S.S to their fourth straight victory of the championship.

The reigning Uganda national girls’ football champions opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Nakimuli.

The lead was doubled three minutes into the second half through a well-struck penalty by defender Nakato for her second goal of the competition.

Nakato was composed to strike past the diving JIPRA goalkeeper Ashima Namusanga.

Rines S.S, who rested many of their first-team players in this fixture, will now complete their group schedule against PSB Huye.

More group stage matches will be played on Wednesday, 19th August 2026 ahead of the semifinal clashes on Friday.

Tanzania (hosts) are joined by Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi in these games.
