St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde boys’ basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the 2026 FEASSA Games in Morogoro, Tanzania.

A 13-point difference during the 58-45 victory over St Michael High School Ssonde spurred Kyabakadde to the third straight triumph at the perennial championships now marking 23 editions.

St Cyprian High School led the opening quarter 12-7 with St Michael High School clawing back as they took the second quarter 14-11.

By the half way mark, St Cyprian High School had established a two-point advantage.

They were ruthless in the third quarter, leading 18-8 with the final quarter ending 17-points apiece.

Choul Thon, Joseph Ngaya, George Agandi, skipper Chut Agok and Sijin Makeng were outstanding for St Cyprian High School Kyabakade.

The Ugandan ambassadors are now assured of a semifinal berth on Friday.

“We are glad to qualify for the semi-finals and we shall do our best for the performance,” Agok remarked.

On Wednesday, they were due to complete their group stage matches against Rwanda’s ITS Kigali.

Amus College School is the other Ugandan school assured of a semifinal berth.

These games will climax on Saturday, 22nd August 2026.
