2026 FEASSA Games (Boys’ Football)
Quarter-finals Results:

- Kyadondo S.S (Uganda) 0 (2) – 0 (4) Mbeya Day S.S (Tanzania)
- Nsumba S.S (Tanzania) 0-1 St Mary’s Kitende (Uganda)
The quarterfinals for the Boys’ football competition at the on-going FEASSA Games 2026 were all successfully played on Wednesday, 19th August.
Two Tanzanian schools Morogoro S.S and Mbeya Day S.S are joined by Uganda’s St Mary’s Kitende as well as CGF Kigali from Rwanda.
Morogoro SS eliminated Amus College School 2-1 in post match penalties after a barren draw at the Ujenzi playground.
At the same venue, CGF Kigali dumped out Tanzania’s Urambo Day 3-2 in post match penalties following a 1-all stalemate in normal time.
Mbeya Day S.S ejected Uganda’s Kyadondo S.S 4-2 in post match penalties at the Highland Sports Complex.
Normal time in this duel was goal-less.
The last quarter final of the day witnessed the FEASSA boys’ football record winners St Mary’s Kitende triumph 1-0 over Nsumba S.S from Tanzania.
A new champion awaits to be crowned after the elimination of the reigning champions Bukedea Comprehensive School who failed to skip the group stages.
Meanwhile, in girls’ football, three Ugandan schools have stormed the semi-finals. Rines S.S, Amus College and Boni Consili Vocational & Secondary School are all in the semi-finals.
Both the boys and girls semi-finals will be played on Friday, 21st August 2026.
Football is among the sports disciplines being played. The others include Netball, Athletics and Cross country, Hockey, Rugby (7’s and 15’s), Cricket, Baseball & Softball, Lacrosse, Chess, Scrabble, among others.
Thursday, 20th August 2026 is rest day prior to the penultimate round and the grand climax on Saturday, 21st August 2026.
Other 8000 participants from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and hosts Tanzania took part in these games, joined by a new partner on board, East African Development Bank.
Uganda is the reigning overall champion.
