Fresh from claiming the Fufa Super 8 trophy, KCCA will test their readiness for the 2026/27 season against Kenya’s AFC Leopards in Nairobi.

The fixture scheduled for Saturday August 22, 2026 at Nyayo stadium will offer the Kasasiro a different test as they embark on a campaign, they want to end a trophy drought that now spans seven seasons.

Brian Ssenyondo says facing a team like Ingwe will offer the required tactical test.

“Facing a team of AFC Leopards in Nairobi presents the exact intensity and tactical test we need before the league starts,” he told the club website.

“It is not about the results; it is about building match sharpness, testing our chemistry under pressure and ensuring the boys and physically and mentally ready for the demanding season ahead,” he added.

AFC Leopards are one of Kenya’s most supported sides but have not won a league trophy for over three decades now.

They have strengthened the side though with the acquisition of Taddeo Lwanga and Tom Ikara who join compatriot Samuel Ssenyonjo, a former KCCA striker.
