  • Rines Secondary School (Uganda) 1-0 Boni Consili Vocational & Secondary School (Uganda)

Rines Secondary School has booked the first final slot at the 2026 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Association (FEASSA) Games.

The reigning Uganda girls’ football champions overcame a hard-fighting Boni Consili Vocational and Secondary School outfit 1-0 at the Jamhuri Stadium, Morogoro in Tanzania on Friday morning.

Defender Patricia Nanyanzi Nakato was the heroine with the all-important goal in the match.

Nakato was well composed to bury the ball into the net past goalkeeper Sophia Burungi Nakkazi in the 65th minute from a penalty kick.

The penalty was awarded following a foul in the forbidden area by defender Violet Nyakaiski onto Trinah Nakawuki.

Before the penalty incident, Boni Consili Vocational and Secondary School had dominated the game with Biiba Nenghamba, Jane Kabugho and Loyce Komugisha dictating play for the team.

Rines’ goalkeeper Bridget Yuko Nansamba and king-pin defender Nakato were fully alert to tame any threat.

Against the run of play, Rines earned a penalty that Nakato converted with ease.
