St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde beat Amus College 90-85 during the semifinal of the Boys’ Basketball 5X5 at the ongoing FEASSA Games in Morogoro, Tanzania on Friday.

Denli dropped a game-high 36 points for Amus College School at the Highlands Sports Complex basketball courts.

Mannaseh, Garang and Dhieu also had good points.

St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde had skipper Ichut Agok with the team high 20 points.

Chol Thon Gulani Amani, Daudi Gorge and Charles Chol also contributed significant points in the game.

The Mukono-based school, who were boosted by the return of their head coach John Omondi (from national duty with the Uganda U-18 team in West Africa), bossed the opening quarter 22-13.

They also won the second quarter 26-21 to lead at the halfway mark 48-34; carrying a difference of 14 points.

In the third quarter, Kyabakadde maintained the lead 17-16; stretching the lead to 65-50.

Amus College aggressively clawed back into the game to win the last quarter 35-25; narrowing the margin to just five points.

In the final, St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde will face the FEASSA reigning champions, ITS Kigali, on Saturday, 22nd August 2026.

The championship comes to an end on the same day.

Uganda has so far done well in Beach Soccer (Girls), Netball, Table Tennis (Boys and Girls), Badminton (Boys and Girls), Scrabble (Girls), Tennis (Boys) and Softball (Girls).

Kenya has captured gold in athletics and cross country, Rugby (7s and 15s), Hockey (Boys and Girls), Scrabble (Boys) as well as Lacrosse (Boys and Girls).

This is the 23rd edition of the FEASSA Games with over 8000 participants from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
