Swabir Mpasa scored the winning goal for BUL to hand Morley Byekwaso a losing reign at Express FC.

The midfielder, man of the match on the day picked a loose ball just inside the Red Eagles’ half, drove towards goal and sent a shot past Mathias Kigonya as he got near the box.

Express were unlucky not to score before the break with Derrick Byabachwezi clearing off the line from an Aaron Mutebi corner.

In the second half, both teams had chances to score but the goalkeepers were alert especially Kigonya who had to make two 1v1 saves while Simon Achid missed target on two occasions.

Next on menu for Express is the Kampala derby against KCCA at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Thursday while BUL visit Kataka.

At Wankulukuku, Maroons threw away a goal lead in the 2-1 defeat to URA who made a good start under Jimmy Kintu Mwera.
