- Blacks Power 1-0 Police
- Ntugasaze 1-3 Maroons
Emmanuel Janan Okech’s second-half strike earned Blacks Power all three points in a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Police FC in their Uganda Premier League clash at Hoima Stadium on Wednesday.
Blacks Power started on the front foot, pressing hard in the opening minutes, though Police’s defensive line initially held firm.
The hosts were forced into an early tactical change in the ninth minute, bringing on Nathan Oloro to replace Andrea Ogwal.
Police keeper Shukuru Hadji kept his side in the game with a brilliant point-blank save in the 31st minute, denying the hosts an opener.
Blacks Power then suffered another setback just before halftime when Oscar Otim was forced off with an injury in the 37th minute, making way for Elias Paul Emokori Oonyu.
The breakthrough finally came five minutes into the second half when Okech calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net to give Blacks Power a slender lead.
Police FC responded by making several tactical substitutions to refresh their midfield and chase an equaliser.
Despite late pressure from the Cops in the closing stages, Blacks Power stood resolute to secure the win.
Following the result, Police sit third in the standings with six points, while Blacks Power move up to sixth with three points from two matches.
