- Hamz stadium, Nakivubo 8pm
The Kampala derby takes centre stage in the premier league as two wounded lions in Express and KCCA lock horns at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo on Thursday.
The two rivals began the season on a sour note; Express losing to BUL 1-0 on Sunday while a day before, KCCA had lost 2-0 to Lugogo rivals NEC.

The defeats add more importance to the clash with either targeting to bounce back.
Express coach Morley Byekwaso, facing his former bosses will hope his experienced stars in Mathias Kigonya, Shafik Batambuze, Isaac Wagoina and Rogers Atube are lethal on the night to thwart any threat posed by Said Mayanja, Yunus Sibira, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza and Sammy Ssebaduka among others in the Yellow and Blue of KCCA.
What the coaches say;

Morley Byekwaso (Express FC)
“They (KCCA) are one of the best sides when it comes to short passes but we have a plan to stop that. Against BUL, we had a good performance despite the defeat and we go again targeting maximum points against KCCA.”

Brian Ssenyondo (KCCA FC)
“We don’t have any other option but go there and win because we lost the first game. We know what we need and shall do our best. We were disappointed last time and we want to use setbacks as a springboard to succeed this season. The setback we got last week has only informed us of what we need to do to move forward.”
Teams News
Moses Sseruyide is the only reported injury from the Red Eagles camp.
KCCA will be without striker Emmanuel Anyama, youngster Yian Gatbel, Gabonese Axel Mezui while latest signing Ibrahim Kasule is not yet fully fit as per Ssenyondo and so could be used as a substitute.
