Ceaser Lobi Manzoki is not ready to start games at the moment, his coach Denis Lavagne confirmed.
The Congolese import return to Vipers in the current transfer window prompting excitement amongst the Venoms but he is yet to start a game, only featuring from the bench during the Cecafa Kagame Cup but was no show in the squad for both the Super Cup and league opener against Entebbe UPPC.
“He (Manzoki) is not ready to start the game, but he can contribute in the second half and help the team win the game,” Lavagne told the press ahead of the Caf Champions League clash against Mauritanian champions Nouadhibou.
“He is very motivated to play, and you can see that in training, but we have to be patient with him.”
In his first stint with the eight-time champions, Manzoki took the league by storm and won several individual accolades including the league MVP award and the top scorer’s boot.
Gusto Mulongo has been the preferred no.9 under Lavagne and the trend is expected to continue on Saturday but the French man has options in Isaac Ogwang, Arnest Ankunda, Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu while the future of Kenneth Kimera remains unresolved.
