Following back-to-back defeats in as many league matches, KCCA return to action on Tuesday with a clash at Kigezi Home Boyz a must win as declared by Brian Ssenyondo.
The Kasasiro have begun the 2026/27 in the worst possible means with losses to NEC and Express.
“This is a must win game,” Ssenyondo vowed. “It is more like a cup final for us and we have to fight for everything,” he added.
The fixture at Rwamwanja stadium, Kamwenge against a newly promoted side is surely the perfect chance for Ssenyondo and group, tipped by many to win the competition to get off the mark.
Ssenyondo is optimistic and positive about the clash and draws positives from the two defeats.
“The team creates opportunities and the task now is to finish them off. I would be more worrying if we didn’t create chances,” he explained.
The KCCA gaffer could make a couple of changes in the eleven with Ibrahim Kasule likely to start his first game of the season after coming off the bench in both matches.
Meanwhile, Kigezi Home Boyz, coached by ex-KCCA winger Kefa Kisala also want to get off the mark after losing away to Lugazi 2-1 in their only game so far.
This will be their premier league debut at home and will be desperate for a good start.
Elsewhere on Tuesday, perfect BUL host Ntugasaze at Njeru while Maroons test Blacks Power at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
