BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye has cautioned his side against complacency after maintaining their perfect start to the season with a commanding 4-1 victory over Ntugasaze on Tuesday at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Despite the heavy scoreline securing a third consecutive victory that propels the Oil Manufacturers to the top of the league table, Isabirye insisted that the performance revealed critical areas needing urgent repair.
Ntugasaze staged a stubborn fight in the opening 45 minutes, frustrating the hosts and keeping the game tightly contested going into the interval.
“I am happy we’ve won against Ntugasaze. It was not an easy game because they gave us [a] hard time in the first half and we struggled a little bit,” Isabirye admitted after the match.
BUL responded forcefully after the break, adjusting their setup to dismantle the visitors’ defense and cruise to a decisive win.
Isabirye credited the tactical turnaround to halftime self-correction, but warned his squad not to rest on their laurels.
“We came back in the second half after analysing our mistakes. We should not get carried away by the score because we still have a lot to do,” Isabirye noted.
Specifically targeting the middle of the park, the tactician highlighted the midfield’s distribution and control as primary areas for tactical drills ahead of their next fixture.
“Our midfield has to improve and we shall try to work on it so that we can build on that going forward,” he added.
With nine points from three games, BUL FC currently lead the standings as they look to build momentum in their quest for top-flight silverware.
Up next, BUL will take on on-form Blacks Power at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
