Two important players, Samuel Kayongo Ssekamatte and Fesali Najib, have joined Police Football Club before Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Both players penned three-year employment contracts apiece until the 2029 season.

Ssekamatte is a left-footed forward with vast experience, having previously featured at KCCA, Soltilo Bright Stars, BUL, Arua Hill, UPDF, Red Arrows (Zambia), Al Jawaish (Qatar) and lately NEC Football Club.

Fesali is a kingpin defender who has lately been playing professional football in India with Yangthang Football Club.

Previously, Fesali played at Kyaggwe Ssaza, URA and BUL Football Clubs in Uganda.

These are crucial actors as Police prepares to take on UPDF in the battle of forces contest at the Kira Road Police Arena on Thursday, 10th September 2026.

Police Signings:

Under head coach Mathias Lule, Police has recruited the likes of Siraje Ssentamu, Shukuru Hadji (goalkeeper), Ivan Mayanja, Denis Ojara (on loan from SC Villa), Rogers Kiwanuka and Ojok Junior Emmanuel Ojok.

“The signings are all important players for us this season, and we expect to perform well,” Lule attested.

It has been a mixed tale to tell for the Cops after opening up with a slim 1-0 home win over Mbaraar City before falling by the same score away to Blacks Power in Hoima on match day two.

Police recently acquired a Ugx. 1.35 billion sponsorship from Yaobai Cement Karamoja.
