Like most districts of Uganda, Hoima and Bunyoro as a region are rapidly emerging business hubs thanks to Uganda`s oil industry that as seen a hive of activities and influx of new inhabitants to these areas.
Alexo Soccer Academy is the Bunyoro`s fastest growing and favorite football academies, increasing its enrolment and membership numbers by approximately 30% every year representing the next generation.

Alexo Soccer Academy is situated in Duhaga, Hoima West, Hoima City Bunyoro Region, hosting their training and matches at the Duhaga-Samagi playground.
This academy was established in 2024, working closely with from Hoima and neighboring districts of Masindi, Kikuube, Kiryandongo, Buliisa and greater Kibaale.
At the moment, the academy has approximately 50 young registered players, aged between 3 to 14 years hailing from across the districts of the region, being sustained voluntarily by contributions from community members.
The numbers are anticipated to swell to over 100 by the climax of the 2026/27 football season.
The Academy and its members invest both money and time in introducing and teaching juniors the skills to play football and have junior teams competing in every age group, both boys and girls.

Objectives:
Alexo Soccer Academy has strong pillars established by a strong well represented and capable management committee and coaches; to provide the active generation a healthy outlet for the children which is vital to their social development and personal growth.
It is with this vision in mind that the academy will move forward to develop successful soccer players both on and off the field. It’s hoped that our investment of time and energy into providing our children with the best possible soccer experience will pay divided in the future where upon the youth of today will take over the rights and guide the academy to greater future success.

Alexo Soccer Academy continues to be community based and welcomes members both playing and non-playing from all walks of life, catering to juniors, boys and girls.
About 50 registered children at Alexo Soccer Academy and have been developing at about 10% over the last 2 years.

Alexo soccer academy is actively involved in different social activities in the community.
These include community cleaning; school sports camps for children, blood donation.
The Academy has been offering mascots at almost all home games of Bunyoro province in the FUFA Drum, Star Times Uganda Premier League entity Kitara Football Club.
Most famously, the Alexo Soccer Academy provided mascot services at the historic opening of Hoima City Stadium on December 24 2025 in a game played between Kitara FC and KCCA FC, also graced by the president of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and lately Kitara’s CAF Confederation duel against Somalia’s Mogadishu City Council.
“These activities endear the Academy to different segments of society and gives exposure to the children. We shall continue to be a community-oriented Academy that contributes to community causes.” Diisi attests.
For a shrewd sustainable plan, Alexo Soccer Academy seeks long-term sponsors, increase player enrolment, organize fundraising events, and introduce small business activities such as jersey sales.
These are means intended to supplement the already existing sources of income as player registration fees, term training fess, sponsorships and donations.
