Fresh off signing a two-year deal with newly promoted URA Ladies FC, Crested Cranes forward Zaina Namuleme has expressed her readiness to lead the club’s charge in their inaugural season in the FUFA Women Super League.
Namuleme, who returns to the domestic scene after a spell in Rwanda with Rayon Sport Women FC, believes the club’s ambitious project aligns perfectly with her personal career goals as she seeks to refine her game and regain top form.
“I am very happy to join URA Ladies FC and excited about this new chapter in my career,” Namuleme said following her unveiling. “I have joined a club with big ambitions, and I am ready to play my part in helping the team achieve its targets.”
Rather than viewing the move solely as a homecoming, the national team player emphasised that her primary objective is continuous personal development and driving standards within the squad.
“I want to give my best every time I step on the pitch, help the team compete at the highest level, and at the same time, push myself to greater heights,” she added.
“I believe that when you challenge yourself to become better, the team also benefits. My focus is to work hard, learn, compete, and grow together with the club.”
Namuleme’s arrival provides head coach options in the attacking third, adding tactical versatility and poise under pressure, qualities vital for top-flight survival and competitiveness.
With pre-season preparations entering their final phase ahead of the league opener against KCCA Women FC on September 20, Namuleme’s blend of top-flight and international experience is expected to serve as a cornerstone for the club’s long-term aspirations.
