SC Villa head coach Zeljko Kovacevic wants his side to show strength and character when they face Kigezi Home Boyz at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

The seventeen-time champions come off a good result after beating traditional rivals Express and will be favourites against the Gorillas who held KCCA at home.

“We need to show character and strength on every part of the game,” said Kovacevic.

“Kigezi will come here and want to prove a point against SC Villa but we need to show good things, play fast and score goals,” he added.

Villa will be without Raymond Barasa Mangoli who is on national duty with U20 in the Cecafa U20 Afcon qualifiers but Zeljko is not worried about his replacement.

“He is a good lad who played all matches last season but we have players to fill the gap,” he said.

Again, the Jogoos will rely on forwards Frank Ssebuufu, Ibrahim Kasinde and Patrick Kakande for goals with national team bound centre back Geoffrey Lubangakene keeping things tight at the back.

For Kigezi, forward Abonga and goalkeeper Norman Angufinduru, formerly at Villa will be the key players to stop Villa and their threat.

Elsewhere, BUL and Blacks Power clash in the top of the table clash while on form NEC face URA at Lugogo.
