The 2026 Pearl of Africa (POA) Golf series tournament swings off on Wednesday, 16th September 2026, with the Pro-Am event at Entebbe Club.
During this event, the professional golfers will play with the amateurs, as a precursor to the main event that tees off on Thursday, 17th September.

Kenya’s legendary professional Dismas Indiza is in action with Samson Agamile and Patricia Mbabazi.
Ronald Rugumayo will play with Collins Nuwagira and Peace Musisi.
Another Kenyan professional, Daniel Nduva, is up against Christine Abbo and Peace Hellen.

Jastas Madoya (Pastor) faces up Gabriel Addi and Sammy Nakanjako.
Abbey Bagalana is lined up with the likes of Tumwine and Lee Holladay.
A couple of South African professionals are also engaged in the PRO-Am.
Toto Thimba Jr will tussle Andrew Oluka and Stephen Kabugo.
Makhetha Mazibuka is in action against Josua Odong and Dominic Tumwesigye.
Kian Coetzer will play with Milton Ocen and Cathy Wabomba.
Sean Cronje is in action against Godwill Bindeeba and Ruth Mugisha.
Nobuhle Dlamini from Swaziland will face the course against Isaiah Tugumenawe and Eddie Okila.
Chairman of the POA Golf Series, Edward Nyatia, will play with Gerald Ataremwa alongside professional Dillon Germshuys (South Africa).

The POA championship in Entebbe is dubbed the “East African Swing” with a total kitty of Shs 70,000,000.
This is Uganda’s first Official World Ranking professional golf tournament under the Sunshine Development & BET Tour.
Domestic professionals will be led by the on-fire Ronald Rugumayo, fresh from winning the prestigious Uganda Professional Open and the MTN Pro Tee tournament at UGC and Entebbe Clubs, respectively.
The golfers will then have a unique experience to tour Uganda in a boost of the tourism sector for the country, courtesy of the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).
