Kibamba United Football Club won the third edition of the Hexaster Cup at the Karungi Primary School playground in Bururi.
This followed a 4-2 post-match penalty victory over the 2025 champions Kijunjubwa following a 1-all draw in normal time.

Geoffrey Kiiza gave Kijunjubwa the lead in the 24th minute. Kennedy Okethwengu levelled for Kibamba United from a well-taken penalty.
To advance to the final, Kijunjubwa eliminated Friends of Soccer 2-0 in the semifinal.

A different name on the trophy
The third edition final also added another chapter to the competition’s growing history.
Alimugonza won the inaugural edition before Kijunjubwa claimed the second edition.
Black Justine of Kitanyata football club won the golden boot for the second season in a row.

About the Hexaster Cup
The Hexaster Cup is organized by Hexaster Football Events and is affiliated with the Masindi District Football Association.
Built around the theme “Restoring Football in Buruli”, the competition provides clubs from communities in Buruli County with a structured platform to compete while bringing football activity to different local communities.

Looking towards the Fourth Edition
Area councillor Julius Mabumbo was chief guest on the final day. He expressed support for the continued development of the competition and pledged support towards the fourth edition.
For Hexaster football events, the conclusion of the third edition therefore marked both an ending and the beginning of preparations for another chapter.
New talents were given a viable platform to showcase their potential and will possibly be keenly followed up for further opportunities.
