URA Ladies FC head coach Moses Nkata has officially confirmed the club’s leadership hierarchy for the 2026/27 season, naming new signing Zaina Namuleme as the club’s new captain.
Namuleme steps into the role ahead of the Women Tax Collectors’ historic debut season in the FUFA Women Super League (FWSL) following their promotion from the FUFA Women Elite League (FWEL).
The versatile forward/midfielder takes over the armband from Tracy Nabalanzi, who had served as skipper since the team’s inception during the 2024/25 campaign.
Nabalanzi remains a core pillar of the squad’s leadership as first assistant captain. Joining her in the upgraded leadership team are two key additions, former midfielder Lydia Nandyera as second assistant captain, and last season’s FWEL Most Valuable Player, Vanessa Namazzi, who rounds out the quartet as third assistant captain.
Coach Nkata’s four-woman leadership structure aims to blend top-flight experience, continuity, and recent form to help guide the squad through their first season in Uganda’s premier women’s division.
URA Ladies kicked off their FWSL campaign last Sunday, falling 3-0 away to KCCA Women FC. However, the squad will have an immediate opportunity to reset and claim their first points of the top-flight era this weekend.
The Women Tax Collectors host Makerere University WFC on Saturday, 26th September, at the Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
