FUFA Women Super League Champions Kawempe Muslim and KCCA Women failed to win on Saturday as the new season got into matchday two.
The Valley Warriors, who began the season with a 3-0 demolition of Jinja United Women last week, failed to replicate the same performance against She Maroons in Wankulukuku.
The Prisons Warders were resolute in defending and denied Kawempe Muslim any outlet; thus, the game ended in a goalless stalemate.
It should be noted that She Maroons began the season with a 3-0 win away to Rines.
KCCA Women, who also began the campaign with an impressive 3-0 win over URA Ladies, didn’t get the chance to pick up maximum points against St. Noa, with the game played at MTN Omondi Stadium ending goalless.
Elsewhere, newcomers URA registered their first win by defeating Makerere University 2-0 thanks to goals from Tamisi Shafiga and Elizabeth Nakigozi.
She Corporate defeated Jinja United 2-1 in Iganga thanks to Jesca Namanya’s brace.
Action continues on Sunday with two fixtures. Uganda Martyrs will host Rines SS while Lady Doves make a long trip to Bukedea to face Amus College.
