The 2026/27 FUFA Big League officially commenced with matchday one fixtures played over the weekend at different venues.
Kiyinda Boys, CATDA, Iganga United and Paidha Black Angels football clubs recorded victories on Matchday One.
At Iganga Ssaza grounds, Allan Kabonge’s Iganga United edged Pakwach Young Stars 1-0 courtesy of Raymond Lusajje’s solitary goal.
CATDA smiled 2-0 over visiting Rwenzori Lions at Hamz Stadium (Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds). Jeremiah Jabera and Martin Kikambi Junior scored in either half for CATDA.
In Ntungamo, at the Kyamate playground, Kaaro Karungi lost at home to visiting Paidha Black Angels.
At the Betham City playground, Kiyinda Boys outsmarted Onduparaka 3-1. Siraji Ismail, Odinga Arsene Junior and Julius Muzerwa scored for Kiyinda Boys while Aziz Abdalla got the consolation for Onduparaka.
Buwambo United and Young Elephants shared the spoils 1-all.
Matchday Two
The second Matchday Two returns on 4th October 2026 as Paidha Black Angels hosts Kiyinda Boys at Bar Okoro stadium in Zombo district.
Other games on the same day shall witness Pakwach Young Stars against Kaaro Karungi at the Luo grounds.
Rwenzori Lions will host Iganga United at the Nyamambuka playground in Kasese.
SC Volcanoes play CATDA at the St Paul Mutolere SS Playground, whilst Young Elephant Academy faces Calvary at Elephants’ Park in Nwoya.
Newcomers Amus College will entertain Buwambo United at the Amus College Stadium.
On 8th October 2026, Calvary will tussle against Kaaro Karungi at the Midigo Primary School ground, Yumbe.
