Team Uganda’s campaign in the team relay at the 2026 All Africa Junior Badminton Championships came to an end in the quarterfinals following a 2–0 defeat to Mauritius in Cairo, Egypt.
Uganda began its campaign in Group A with a walkover against Zambia before suffering a 2–0 defeat to Algeria.
The team progressed to the knockout stage, where it faced Mauritius in the quarterfinals but could not secure a place in the semifinals.
The loss ended Uganda’s hopes of advancing further in the team relay competition, which runs from September 27 to 29 at Cairo Stadium.
Uganda was represented by eight players: Samuel Bisaso, Carlton Kisakye, Aaron Ndawula, Benjamin Ssekanjako, Ramiah Bukenya, Thara Nagujja, Claire Namirembe and Abigail Ndagire.
Despite their quarterfinal exit, the championships provided the Ugandan juniors with an opportunity to compete against their continental counterparts and gain experience at the international level.
