Kitara Football Club president Deo Kasozi brands the upcoming duel against Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the CAF Confederation Cup as “the biggest in the club’s history”.

The two sides face off in a two-legged affair during the CAF Confederation Cup, with Kitara hosting the first leg on Saturday, 17th October, before the return leg away in Cairo.

“This is the biggest game in the club’s history, and we want to fill the stadium,” Kasozi, who will be making 5 years as club president, hinted.

Tickets for the home duel are already on sale, with a target of 17,000 fans anticipated.

To this effect, Kasozi boldly rallied the fans to come and cheer up the team at the Hoima City Stadium.

“We call upon the fans to come and support Kitara against Al Ahly. The biggest attendance was around 15,000 spectators in the first leg against Mogadishu City, and so with 17,000 allowed in according to CAF, we want to ensure that the 2,000 fans join and we fill the stands.”

No physical tickets will be sold this time around, with Kasozi confirming that there will be areas in place around Hoima City to guide on how to purchase online.

“This time, we shall not have any physical tickets, but we intend to have areas with personnel in Hoima to help whoever finds difficulty in acquiring tickets online.”

The tickets have already gone online, with only 750 VIP tickets available that will come with special treatment, including a parking sticker.
