Uganda Cranes face Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the second international build-up at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa on Monday, 5th October 2026.
U.S .-based midfielder Sadam Masereka commands a starting berth in this contest, his first in international football on the senior team.
He is joined by former Amus College defender Toto Majub in a side skippered by Kenneth Ssemakula.

Kingdom Osayi (goalkeeper) starts in goal. The others on the team include Gaucho Debohi, Toby Sibbick, Arnold Vula, Kelvin Boateng, Abdoulaye Sissako, Diaby Souleymane and Baba Alhassan.
The Reserves
It is a rich bench that has goalkeepers Hannington Ssebwalunyo and David Akpan.
The outfield players include Gavin Kizito, Geofrey Lubanga Kene, Allan Oyirwoth, Travis Mutyaba, Frank Ssebufu, Denis Omedi, Hilary Mukundane, James Bogere, Joseph Seremba and Jonathan Gift Odongo.

The first friendly match between these two countries was won by Uganda 2-0. James Bogere and Kelvin Boateng were on target for Uganda Cranes.
Uganda head coach Paul Put is using these friendly matches to assemble a formidable team that will compete in the AFCON PAMOJA 2027 championship to be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

DR Congo is currently 41st in the FIFA Rankings. Uganda is in the 89th position out of 211 footballing countries.
