- Hoima City stadium – 4pm
Following two draws in as many league fixtures so far, Kitara host Kigezi Home Boyz targeting their first season victory at Hoima City stadium.
The Royals drew 1-1 away to SC Villa and lately Express before the elongated international window and are aware that nothing short of maximum points could derail their title aspirations early in the season.
Head coach George Lutalo has spoken with confidence ahead of the team’s first home game this season although the Gorillas held traditional rivals KCCA for their only point this season.
“We are looking forward to getting positive results against Kigezi. We are among the bottom teams on the table and this game is one that we want to win and remain in the competition,” said Lutalo.
“We have prepared ourselves well and everyone that has been training is ready to give their best once selected,” he added.
Kabon Living and Jimmy Kalema who missed the draw at Express are back while Patrick Kaddu and Isaac Amutuhaire who limped off in that game are declared fully fit.
Meanwhile, like Kitara, Kigezi also come into the game aiming for first win of the season after losses to SC Villa and Lugazi and a draw at home versus KCCA.
Elsewhere, Kataka host record champions SC Villa at Bukedea, Lugazi visit Maroons at Wankulukuku and Mbarara City visit Ntugasaze at Kamwokya.
