  • Entebbe UPPC vs Police – Hamz stadium, Nakivubo 5pm
  • URA vs KCCA – Hamz stadium, Nakivubo 8pm

Entebbe UPPC will be desperate to pick their first ever win over Police when the two sides face off at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo in the first of two matches on Independence Day.

Both teams enter today’s early kick-off level on 7 points from 4 games (2 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat). A victory for either side will push them to 10 points, putting them just two points behind early league leaders BUL FC.

In the previous four league meetings, three have ended in stalemates with the only win in favour of Police who beat the Printers 2-0 last season at Bugonga.

The hosts will look to Ambrose Kigozi, Reich Kokolo, Julius Poloto and Ismail Mugulusi for goals while the Cops have their hopes vested in Bedia Ikamba and co to unlock the usually compact Printers’ defence.

In the second game, URA and KCCA face off in a heavy-weight clash featuring two teams desperate to turn their seasons around.

KCCA registered their first win of the season (1-0 against Kataka) just before the international break, while URA is reeling from a heavy 4-1 defeat to NEC. Both managers, Jimmy Kintu Mwera (URA) and Brian Ssenyondo (KCCA), face massive pressure to secure all three points tonight.

The visitors welcome Ivan Ahimbisibwe back after a failed short stint in Iraq and he is likely to lead the line against his former bosses.
