Allan Kateregga has officially joined Rwanda Premier League side Musanze FC on a two-year contract, choosing to remain in Rwanda despite interest from Ugandan clubs SC Villa and KCCA FC.
The 32-year-old, popularly known as Dancing Rasta, joins Musanze as a free agent after mutually parting ways with Police FC at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Kateregga spent two seasons at Police, helping the club win the 2024 Rwanda Super Cup. He now takes his experience to Musanze, a club based in Rwanda’s Northern Province.
Despite reported interest from SC Villa and KCCA during the August 2026 transfer window, the attacking midfielder opted to continue his career in Rwanda.
His move to Musanze adds another chapter to a career that has taken him across several countries.
In Uganda, Kateregga played for SC Villa, Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU), BUL FC and KCCA FC. He later moved to Kenya, where he featured for Tusker FC and AFC Leopards.
His career also took him to South Africa, playing for Cape Town City FC and Maritzburg United on loan, before stints at Erbil SC in Iraq and FC Saint-Éloi Lupopo in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
He returned to East African football with Police FC and will now look to make his mark at Musanze.
With his experience across different leagues, Kateregga is expected to add creativity and quality to Musanze’s midfield as he begins his two-year stay at the club.
