CECAFA U-17 Championship 2026 (AFCON U-17 qualifiers):

Uganda U-17 national team (Cubs) sent a strong statement of intent with a one-sided 8-0 performance over Burundi on Saturday, 10th October 2026 at the Kigali Pele Stadium.
Sebastien Fisher Quinn scored a hat-trick with Arnold Kayemba adding a brace.
Arafat Ibanda, Nicholas Kawooya and Junior Afoyrwoth each added a goal.
Kayemba opened the scoring business in the 19th minute before adding the second two minutes later.
Ibanda made it three in the 34th minute and Kawooya scored the fourth towards the half way mark.
Fisher, a substitute got the first of his three goals in the 74th minute with Afoyrwoth scoring the 6th with 13 minutes to play.
Fisher then scored the final two goals in the 84th and 89th minutes for Uganda Cubs’ massive victory.
Uganda will play Ethiopia in the second game with target of securing a semi-final berth.
