The Africa Golf Confederation (AGC) is excited and overwhelmed for the record number of countries for the 2026 All Africa Team Championship (AATC) at the La Foret Golf Course, La Soukra, Tunisia.

This year’s championship has 17 countries, a record number of countries at a single event despite the late withdrawal of Tanzania and Sierra Leone due to logistical challenges.

The hosts Tunisia are joined by East Africans; Uganda and Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Gabon, Cameroon, Ghana, Mauritius, Reunion and the Seychelles.

“This is the biggest entry ever seen in the history of the championship – a clear testament that golf is growing in Africa. We thank the Tunisian Golf Federation and our partners at Vessel Golf for supporting African golf.”  A statement from the Africa Golf Confederation applauded.

Team Uganda traveled with Godfrey Kambale, Amon Bwambale, Shaka Nyabahiika Kariisa, and Anthony Otukei under Paul Habyarimana as team manager.

“We are ready to carry aloft our treasured national flag in Tunisia. The team is good spirits and positive shape” skipper Kambale remarked.

The championship will be hosted under the luxurious prize sponsorship of Vessel Golf, organized by the Africa Golf Confederation in conjunction with the Royal & Ancient (R&A) as well as the Tunisia Golf Federation.
