Egyptian giants, Al Ahly Sports Club beat Uganda’s Kitara 2-1 during the opening leg of the second-round duel in the CAF Confederation Cup at the Hoima City Stadium on Saturday, 17th October 2026.

Omar Elsaei and Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed Sayed (penalty) replied for Al Ahly in the second half to boss the opening leg

Gadaffi tapped home from close range off a teasing delivery from winger Martin Kizza after 30 minutes as Kitara took the lead to send the reasonable number of fans in the stands ecstatic.

Elsaei brought the game level with a superb finish inside the goal area in the 66th minute through the legs of goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa.
