Kitara’s continental exploits ended with a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Al Ahly at the Cairo International stadium on Sunday.

The defeat meant the Hoima based side bow out 6-1 on aggregate but how did the Royals rate on the day?

Joel Mutakubwa: Made over six saves but still overpowered and conceded four goals. Kitara’s best performer on the day. 5

Henry Musisi: Had a tough evening and allowed so many crosses from his side including one in the lead up to the opening goal. 4

Jasper Aheebwa: Vulnerable all evening and made it easy for the hosts. Uncharacteristic of his performance over two legs. 4

Murushid Jjuuko: Lost the ball for the second goal and easily beaten for the third. Bad at office for the veteran centre back. 3

Isa Lumu: Booked for a deliberate handball in the first half. Overwhelmed by Al Ahly endless attacks. Lost his man for goal number four. 4

Misi Ssemugera: Made a few interceptions but waned as Al Ahly movement on and off the ball went till the final whistle. 5

Frank Tumwesigye: Not scared to take a risk despite the pressure his team played under. Composed and calm but opponents’ quality and class were way above. 5

Gadafi Wahab: Struggled to impose himself on the game though he had a few decent touches including a through ball to Kalema which he wasted. 5

Martin Kizza: Some good moments on the ball but not secure enough in possession down the wings. Won some fouls. 5

Jimmy Kalema: Wasted the only chance for Kitara when he shot wide after being played through by Wahab. 3

Patrick Kaddu: Lacked service throughout as Al Ahly kept pressure on. Subbed for Amutuhaire. 4
