Alpha Ssali could return to starting XI against Kataka Credit: John Batanudde

Express FC have an opportunity to put an end to a winless streak when they host Kataka at Hamz stadium, Nakivubo under floodlights.

The Red Eagles have not won a league since beating KCCA 2-0 on match day and are now five matches without a win [L2, D3] in that sequence including a goalless stalemate at Lugazi in their most recent outing.

Against Kataka, a side that are yet to taste topflight victory, the seven-time champions will be favourites and head coach Morley Byekwaso calls for maximum focus.

“There are no easy matches in the league and this will be another difficult match,” said Byekwaso.

The hosts will be without midfielder Nicholas Jjonga who was stretchered off in the last game and has been ruled out for some extended period.

Positioned 13th on the log with six points, Express have had a goal scoring problem with only four this season.

However, Kataka second from bottom has conceded the most this season (17) including nine in the last two and that gives Express forwards Alpha Ssali, Henry Wamala and Isaac Wagoina belief they can end their lethargic period.

In other matches, SC Villa host Ntugasaze at Wankulukuku, NEC are at home to Ntugasaze, URA host UPDF while Kigezi Home Boyz are away to Police at Kamwokya.
