Peter Magambo has paid special tribute to KCCA FC’s medical and rehabilitation team following his departure from the club, acknowledging their support during difficult periods of injury.
Magambo, who left the Kasasiro Boys on Thursday after 11 years, used his farewell message to recognise the contribution of the medical personnel who helped him through his rehabilitation journey.
“I also take this opportunity to thank the people who supported me, especially through the difficult periods of injury,” he wrote.
The former KCCA player singled out the club’s medical and rehabilitation department for the care and encouragement they provided whenever he needed treatment and recovery support.
He acknowledged Dr Samwanga Ivan, Dr Tusuubira Emmanuel and Dr Afua Namuyanja for their contribution to his recovery journey.
Magambo also recognised the wider team that worked behind the scenes to support his rehabilitation, describing their efforts as an important part of his experience at the club.
His tribute extended to KCCA’s leadership and management, technical staff and teammates, whom he thanked for standing by him throughout his time at the club.
The farewell message offered a glimpse into the challenges footballers face away from the pitch, with injury rehabilitation often requiring patience, dedication and support from medical professionals.
For Magambo, the contribution of the medical team was significant enough to feature prominently in his final message to the club.
As he brought his 11-year association with KCCA to a close, the footballer expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to his journey, saying the memories and relationships built during his time at the club would remain with him.
