Mamelodi Sundowns and Lekie FC became the first two teams to secure their places in the semifinals of the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League in Cairo, Egypt.

The aforementioned two teams won their respective final Group A games on Saturday to confirm their slots into the final four.

Two-time winners Mamelodi Sundowns made light work of Moroccan outfit FUS Rabat, earning a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Mbane Bambanani, Majiya Ntandoyenkosi, and Dhlamini Karabo scored a goal each to guide Sundowns to victory. The result meant the South African Giants finished top of Group A on seven points from three games.

Lekie FC from Cameroon, who are debutants, stunned tournament hosts FC Masar to win 2-1 and finish second on four points.

Brenda Tabe scored in the opening minute before MN Biyo added the second goal for Lekie. Farah El Mahdy got the consolation for the Egyptian outfit.

Despite ending group business with four points, same as Lekie, FC Masar got eliminated due to head-to-head.
