Javier Martinez Espinoza is adamant the players will fight for a positive result in Khartoum to stand a chance of progressing to the next round.

The Ugandan champions leave for Sudan in the wee hours of the Tuesday ahead of the Wednesday clash in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League.

“We go into this game seeking for a good result away in Khartoum,” said Martinez. “It is important that we won our last league game therefore we go into this game with our spirits high,” he added.

“The players are in good shape and ready to fight for a positive result

Meanwhile, first choice goalkeeper Fabian Mutombora has been left out of Vipers SC squad due to injury.

The Burundian goalie who missed the 2-1 win over Paidha Black Angels on Saturday suffered an injury while on national duty with the U-23 side.

Also missing on the team is left back Aggrey Madoi, Tom Masiko, as well as right back Fred Okot.

Captain Taddeo Lwanga, his partner Moses Waiswa, defenders Halid Lwaliwa and Bashir Asiku all make the cut.
