Proline became the latest FUFA Big League side to join the Uganda Cup round of 32 stage.

Shafiq Bisaso’s side eliminated fellow second tier side Light Secondary School from Soroti 3-1 at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo on Christmas eve.

In the other game played at the Namboole outside play-ground, Kampala regional side St Mary’s Nabweru eliminated FUFA Big League entity Kiira United 5-4 on post-match penalties, after normal time had ended one goal apiece.

Wakiso Giants awaits the FUFA Competitions committee decision following the failure for Vision Football Club to turn up for the match that was intended at the Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe in Jinja.

The other FUFA Big League sides that have booked their round of 32 slot include Kyetume, Kiboga Young, Nebbi Central, Kansai Plascon, Bukedea Town Council

Meanwhile, the Uganda Cup takes break on Christmas day and will resume with two matches on boxing box.

Last season’s winners Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club and losers Vipers will both be in action.

The two clubs have been engaged with continental engagements in the CAF Champions League and Confederation cup.

Both sides will be at their respective astro-turf surface homes in Lugogo and Kitende.

KCCA hosts Lira district’s Amuka Bright Stars at the Star Times Stadium, Lugogo and Vipers will entertain Ruskekere Growers at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

The winners of the Uganda Cup earns a ticket to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.
