Innocent Wafula
I am, of course, delighted and very proud to be joining Vipers SC. I’m very happy to be here and to be a Venom. I really felt that the club wanted me to come. I will give my best on the pitch, and hopefully be a very good player for this team
He joins the three time Uganda Premier League champions who have a game this coming Tuesday at home against Onduparaka where he is expected to make his debut.
Wafula brings competition to the right wing department where former captain Nico Wakiro Wadada left void since joining Tanzanian side Azam F.C.
Of late, Bashir Asiku and Ibrahim Kiyemba have been employed in the department.
Up front on the right wing, Noah Wafula, Abraham Ndugwa, Dickens Okwir and Brian Nkuubi Ssemakula have all featured at some stage.
Innocent Wafula will also be used in the CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
Meanwhile, Vipers will also be expected to make two or three more signings in this secondary transfer window with a center forward and central midfielder being sought.
