Proline Football Club has earned the direct slot to the 2019/2020 Uganda Premier League from the Elgon Group.
Shafik Bisaso’s side earned the promotion following a well worked-out 2-0 victory on the road against Kabale Sharp at the Kabale Municipal Stadium on Thursday, May 9, 2019.
Two first-half strikes from Joseph Mandela and immensely gifted midfielder Bright Anukani gave Proline the maximum points they needed prior to the kick off of the game.
The blue and purple stripped side ends the season with 42 points and joins Wakiso Giants as the other directly promoted side from the Elgon group.
Proline winds down a golden year in which they will also play in their first ever Uganda Cup final against Bright Stars on 25th May 2019 at the Masaka Recreational Stadium.
Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants completed the season with a one all draw against Doves All Stars at the Green Light Stadium in Arua.
Masindi based Dove drew two all with Kansai Plascon at the Mukono Bishop playground to book a playoff spot.
At the CRO San Siro Stadium, home club Kataka survived being relegated with a point earned after a 1-all draw with Lira’s Amuka Bright Stars.
