It’s all systems go for the SMC Challenge Rally; the third round in an extended National Rally Championship.

A total of 19 crews are lined up after passing scrutineering that took place today in Sembabule, Central Uganda.

It will be a renewed rivalry among crews  after over a year without competition in the country.

But who will take the day?

With the absence of Ponsiano Lwakataka, the title fight will remain between Fred Kitaka, Omar Mayanja, Hassan Alwi and Duncan Mubiru who are in the top five in the NRC leaderboard.

Kitaka heads into the event with a 20 points advantage over Omar Mayanja and 30 points ahead of Alwi.

His strategy will focus on maintaining a top-five finish in Sembabule to maintain his top position after round three.

Mayanja, Alwi, and Mubiru are expected to go flat-out for the top spot to brighten their hopes for the title.
