NEC extended their purple patch on Tuesday after overcoming BUL at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Tuesday. The Diehards secured a 1-0 win to stretch their brilliant run.

The result means NEC is now unbeaten in 16 games and has kept nine clean sheets in a row.

The last time NEC lost a League game was on 12th December 2025 against KCCA, while they last let in a goal against Vipers on 17th February.

In today’s game, Innocent Media got the lone goal of the game, coming in the 14th minute, and the Diehards, like they have done all season, held on to secure maximum points.

Media was unmarked inside the area when Rashid Kawawa started a quick corner to Hakim Wandera, who floated in the ball, and Media was well stationed to head home.

The 1-0 win is the ninth identical scoreline that NEC has posted this season. Therefore, of the 12 wins the team has, nine have been 1-0.

Victory takes NEC to 47 points in fifth position while BUL remain rooted in 8th place on 34 points.
