Undefeated NABO lightweight champion Shariff “The Lion Warrior” Bogere, is looking beyond his recent conquest in the ring and wants to rule the 135 division.
“I want to fight anybody in this division and am not scared off anybody in this class,” Bogere said in a message to Kawowo sports. “I want all the belts in this division and I know soon I will be a world champion.”
The stylish Nevada based fighter is coming off a contraversial win of Dominican Francisco Contreras that has pushed his record to (21-0-0, 13 KOs).
Boxing insiders believe that late this year or early next year the Ugandan prize fighter could land a major world title shot and that could be the vacant WBC lightweight title.
Bogere will be looking to become the sixth Ugandan world champion after John “The Beast” Mugabi, Cornelius Boza Edwards, Ayub Kalule, Kassim “The Dream” Ouma and Jackson “Action” Asiku.
